FAQ

Who may be married in the church?

The church building is dedicated to the glory of God. To those who will regard the sanctuary with respect and reverence, a cordial invitation is extended.

Will we have to complete premarital counseling?

An important part in preparation for marriage is the premarital counseling sessions the couple will have with the minister. An appointment for the first session should be made at least two months in advance of the wedding.

Who will perform our wedding ceremony?

All wedding ceremonies in our church will be conducted by one of our ministers. Guest ministers may perform your ceremony upon our minister’s approval and invitation only.

Does the church provide the unity candle?

The church provides a candelabra for the unity candle, however, the candle(s) itself is not provided. The wedding coordinator can assist you with where best to purchase a unity candle set.

Will we get to select our own music?

Our Director of Music plays for all weddings when the organ/piano is used. The responsibility for music reflecting a service of reverent worship is yours and must be approved by the Director of Music. If an instrument other than the organ piano is preferred, this request should be made at the time you reserve the church or as soon as possible.

What is your policy on photography?

Please discuss your photographic needs with the wedding coordinator. We require that pictures be taken from the rear of the sanctuary with available light only during the ceremony. The wedding party may return to the chancel area following the ceremony for photographs.
