Children's Ministry
 

Faith Friends is our fellowship group for children in 3^rd through 5^th grade.  We meet on the 2^nd and 4^th Sunday of the month from 11:15 until 12:30.  This group gives our children a chance to develop stronger friendships within our church family and helps them learn how they can help make a difference in this world.

One meeting a month we are involved in a service project ; we have created dog pull toys for a local animal shelter, picked up trash at Bolsa Chica Beach, collected and packed health kits for UMCOR and raised money to help wildlife affected by the Gulf Coast Oil Spill.  On our non-service oriented meetings, we have fun and fellowship time.  We play board games, go bowling or ice skating, play crazy lifesaver games or have arts and crafts time. This group is led by Theresa Shult and her contact information is Theresa@cumchb.org

Lenten Overnight is for children in 3^rd through 5^th grade and is held on the first Friday night of Lent.  It is a time of fun and fellowship and learning more about the season of Lent as we spend the night at church.

Easter Egg Hunt and BBQ on Palm Sunday after the 10:00 worship service. Immediately after the 10:00 service we have an Easter egg hunt for children followed by a family BBQ.

Family Camp is going to be at Camp Cedar Glen, September 28 - 30, 2012.  It will be near Julian, California. Here is a link to the camp: http://www.campcedarglen.org

Fall Family Carnival is the Saturday before Halloween.  It is an old fashioned carnival with a twist along with Trick or Treat doors and a spooky room created by our youth.
